Mobile radiographic

Mobile radiographic units for bedside examinations

Mobile units are used in radiographic imaging of patients who are too sick to be moved to a standard radiology suite. They are also utilized in critical care units or operating rooms. The advent of Digital Technology allows doctors to visualize high quality images on screen instantaneously. Earlier Computed Radiography (CR) and analog machines would be time consuming. Now, technologists do not have to develop cassettes in a dark room and then wait for the images to be read by a radiologist. Newer innovations towards wireless technology are on the anvil fueling a compelling interest in portable radiography.

Mobile C-arms for orthopedics

Mobile C-arms for Orthopedics, Cardiology, Surgery and Interventional Radiology

A mobile C-arm comprises a generator (X-ray source) and an image intensifier or flat-panel detector. The C-shaped connecting element allows a swivelling movement around the axes, so that X-ray images of the patient can be produced from almost any angle. The generator emits X-rays that penetrate the patient's body. The image intensifier or detector converts the X-rays into a visible image that is displayed on the C-arm monitor. They are being employed in the fields of

  • General and Endovascular surgery
  • Neurosurgery
  • Gastroenterology
  • Cardiology
  • Urology
  • Orthopedics
Radiographic systems

R/F systems for radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures with advanced Digital Imaging Systems

Components include a high-voltage generator and X-ray tube, spectral shaping filters, a field restriction device, an anti-scatter grid, an image receptor, an image processing computer and a display device.

Images appear in real-time, allowing an evaluation of dynamic biological processes and guiding interventions. Electronic fluoroscopy systems capture and display images at a high frame rate, typically 25 or 30 frames per second. They are employed in a wide range of functions including Endoscopy/ERCP, Urography, Cystography, Hysterosalpingography, Myelography, Arthrography, Venography, Barium swallow, Barium enema, etc
